Third-Party Testing & Certifications | Cuddle-Kin
Last reviewed: April 2026 · Cuddle-Kin diapers are tested in independent, accredited laboratories to verify every safety and skin-care claim we make.
Summary
Cuddle-Kin Plant Diapers are third-party lab tested, dermatologist-reviewed, and pediatrician-reviewed. Each batch is screened for harsh chemicals, allergens, and material integrity before it ships to your door. Cuddle-Kin was founded by a mother after her preemie reacted to mainstream diapers, and our entire product line is built to the sensitive-skin standard.
As featured in the Los Angeles Times — Cuddle-Kin was highlighted as a small, mom-founded brand redefining clean baby care.

We test every production batch before release and run a full chemistry panel quarterly to confirm nothing in our supply chain has drifted. Our goal is zero surprises for sensitive-skin babies — including preemies, babies with eczema, and children with multiple allergies.
Frequently asked questions about testing
Are Cuddle-Kin diapers dermatologist tested?
Yes. Every Cuddle-Kin Plant Diaper is dermatologist-tested using a Human Repeat Insult Patch Test (HRIPT) protocol on a panel of 50+ subjects. Test results showed zero primary or cumulative irritation.
Are Cuddle-Kin diapers hypoallergenic?
Yes. Cuddle-Kin diapers are free from fragrance, lotion, chlorine, parabens, phthalates, dyes, and latex — all of the most common diaper allergens. They are clinically tested hypoallergenic.
Are Cuddle-Kin diapers safe for newborns and preemies?
Yes. Our Size 0-1 diapers (5-9 lbs) were designed specifically after our founder couldn’t find a safe option for her own preemie. They use the same ultra-soft bamboo-based liner as every other size.
Do Cuddle-Kin diapers contain PFAS?
No. PFAS, often called “forever chemicals,” are not used anywhere in our diaper construction. We test finished product to EPA Method 1633 non-detect thresholds.
Are Cuddle-Kin diapers chlorine free?
Yes. We use a Totally Chlorine Free (TCF) pulp-bleaching process that produces zero dioxins and zero chlorinated byproducts.
Where are Cuddle-Kin diapers tested?
Cuddle-Kin partners with ISO 17025-accredited independent laboratories in the United States and Europe for our full chemistry and dermatology panel. We do not conduct any testing in-house.
